ABOUT THE ROLE:
An opportunity exists to join a well-established team based in Melbourne's CBD. The primary focus will be underwriting new business and renewals within an established team of underwriters, whist utilising your market knowledge and relationships to leverage cross sell opportunities. ·Underwriting new business and renewals providing quotes in a timely and professional manner in line with agreed service standards.
·Managing a portfolio to ensure profitability is maintained whilst achieving revenue targets that are set and agreed
·Preparing and communicating quotations, bindings, policy conditions and mid-term adjustments
·Negotiating rates/terms with brokers
·Answering broker enquiries
·Working effectively with team to accomplish agreed underwriting goals
·The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple clients with 1-3 years of insurance experience.
·Tier 1 qualification (preferred but not essential)
·Able to work autonomously with the ability to manage numerous tasks within set time frames and meet deadlines
·Highly organised and able to hit the ground running
·Proficient with Microsoft Office
