Job Description
Your duties and responsibilities will include –
- Validation and investigation of building claims
- Compile an in depth and accurate scope of works (including repair costs) along with other written reports
- Manage relationships between repairers and insurers throughout the process while ensuring the policy holder is kept up to date on all progress or setbacks
- Effectively manage any setbacks throughout the process ensuring where possible that there are no delays incurred
- Previous building or estimating experience (domestic and commercial)
- Trade qualification or a background in building repair or scoping
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of insurance claims
- Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs for domestic and commercial properties
- Effective communication (written and verbal), negotiation, conflict resolution and decision- making skills
