Job Description

Our client is a well-known national insurance brokerage with several offices across Australia which has an opportunity for an experienced Broker/ Account Executive to join their existing Workers Compensation team and work on a national portoflio. We are seeking a driven workers comp professional with strong sales, relationship management, compliance and negotiation skills to manage and growth and existing book of business.
Due to the book of business being national this role can be based in either the Melbourne or Sydney office. 
Responsibilities will include –
  • Management and expansion of a book of national workers compensation clients
  • Provide technical support to account managers
  • Develop and oversee new business tenders
  • Assist clients in obtaining premium funding and payment extensions
  • Provide support and guidance in relation to return to work, injury management and claims
  • National development and placement of Workers' Compensation insurance registrations
  • Negotiation of premium classification rates
Essential Experience –
  • A number of years’ experience as a Workers Compensation Broker/Account Executive or similar role
  • Effective business development, relationship management, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a portfolio of national workers compensation accounts
  • Technically strong across multiple states workers compensation legislation
  • Working knowledge of premium calculations
  • Highly motivated team player with a focus on compliance
